Career Maturity and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy as Predictors of Career Adaptability among Students in Foundation Program, Universiti Putra Malaysia

Abstract: This study aims to examine the key predictors between career maturity and decision-making self-efficacy on adaptability among students in Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science programme at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). A quantitative research design using a questionnaire consists of maturity, adaptabilities was disseminated respondents. Using cluster sampling method, total 329 were involved study. The results indicate that these variables are significantly correlated suggest who able have more or their careers susceptible self-adaptation. Employing hierarchical multiple regression analysis, it discovered competency is best predictor relation maturity. Meanwhile, goal-selection planning self-efficacy. found developing with focus students’ an emphasis higher education plays important role enhancing overall preparing them future success.
